Okay, so do you think the headline/caption writers are THIS stupid or do you
think they do this on purpose?? Sorry for the corny commentary after the
headlines... LOL Do you have a favorite headline?

  2. Maybe some of them aren't thinking; in a hurry to meet deadlines and so forth; but I think there are a percentage done deliberately just to catch the eyes of their potential readers---wonder what the statistics are on that...anyone???

    I enjoyed your commentary, didn't find it corny at all, GMTA, it's something I love to do when presented with an opportunity, it's the same w/ photo captioning, too.

    Love that last one!

Val, I don't think they did it on purpose, they're just that out of it.  Valerie, John is out in the hall chortling and snorting b/c he just can't stop laughing!  He is going on and on!  He likes kids like make nutritious snadks & this one:   Hospital sued by seven foot doctors.   I think this one is funny:  Enfield (London ) Couple Slain; Police Suspect Homicide &  this one: Juvenile Court To Try Shooting Defendant.  Val, John is making me print out a copy of this entry for him, LOL.

  4. Years ago there was a rdio newscast about some engineers who had become trapped inside a missile silo.  The announcer said "This is NBC News trapped in a missile silo."

  5.     As someone who actually wrote headlines, someone didn't have their coffee the day they wrote these. Or maybe the did. Maybe these were intentional.
