Angel Quotes for the Season...

Angel Quotes and a Verse

In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth,
a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man
named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was
Mary. The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who
are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”

Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what
kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her,
“Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God.
You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are
to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be
called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him
the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the
house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end.”
- Luke 1:26-33

"It is not known precisely where angels dwell - whether in the air,
the void, or the planets. It has not been God's pleasure that we
should be informed of their abode."
- Voltaire

"Millions of spiritual creatures walk the earth - unseen,
both when we wake and when we sleep."
- John Milton

"Ever feel an angel's breath on a gentle breeze? A teardrop in
the falling rain? Hear a whisper amongst the rustle of the leaves?
Or been kissed by a lone snowflake? Nature is an angel's
favorite hiding place."
- Carrie Latat

"When angels visit us, we do not hear the rustle of wings,
nor feel the feathery touch of the breast of a dove, but we
know their presence by the love they create in our hearts."
- Author Unknown

"The reason angels can fly is because they
take themselves lightly."
- G. K. Chesterton

"Angels around us, angels beside us, angels within us.
Angels are watching over you when times are good or stressed.
Their wings wrap gently around you, whispering you are
loved and blessed."
- An Angel Blessing

"Angels can unleash hurricanes of healing, release tidal waves
of love, move whole mountains of hatred, melt icebergs of
jealousy and evaporate oceans of pain."
- Author Unknown

"How wonderful it must be to speak the language of the angels,
with no words for hate and a million words for love!"
- Eileen Elias Freeman

"When babies look beyond you and giggle,
maybe they're seeing angels."

Christmas Humor...

What a Boy Wants For Christmas

Darren remembers accompanying his father out shopping in the
toy department of Sears one Christmas Eve.

Dad said, "What a marvelous train set. I'll buy it."

The girl behind the counter looked pleased and said, "Great,
I'm sure your son will really love this."

What a Girl Wants For Christmas

The Santa Claus at the shopping mall was very surprised when
Emily, a girl about 20 years of age, walked up and sat on his
lap.

Now, we know that Santa doesn't usually take requests from
adults, but she smiled very nicely at him, so he asked her,
"What do you want for Christmas, Emily?"

"Something for my mother, please," answered the girl sweetly.

"Something for your mother? Well, that's very loving and
thoughtful of you," smiled Santa. "What would you like me to
bring her?"

Emily answered quickly, "A son-in-law."
